Entering therapy can be an intimidating process. As a therapist, I strive to help my clients feel safe and empowered through their therapeutic journey. I will listen intently to you and assist you in creating goals that are unique to your needs. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families to explore and validate their experiences. I practice from an attachment lens which allows me to focus on the relationships that we have with others, society, and ourselves.
I utilize the emotion focused therapy model in addition to methods from the Gottman institute when working with clients to access vulnerable parts of themselves, identify problematic communication patterns, and work toward forming deeper connections and more secure attachments both within oneself and within relationships. I work with individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, communication challenges, relational distress/conflict, infidelity, parenting concerns, and other life transitions and concerns.
I am a licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) in the state of Ohio. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Sciences and from East Carolina University with a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am certified in Medical Family Therapy and practice from a holistic, person-centered lens. As a holistic therapist, I recognize how our physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual health are all interconnected. I believe in the power of connection and vulnerability to show up authentically as individuals. I am committed to creating an open and safe space that encourages clients to explore all parts of themselves throughout their journey to healing and growth.
