Hello there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working with teenagers and adults experiencing anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, life transitions, career and self-esteem issues, as well as issues of caregiving and grief. My approach to therapy is primarily psychodynamic and attachment-based, but includes practices from Interpersonal Process Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

I believe therapy to be a fundamentally relational experience. Many of the issues and struggles we have in life stem from conflict and unmet needs in our relationships throughout the course of our lives. My philosophy is that the healing work of therapy is a corrective relational experience wherein clients can be fully honest and fully themselves while receiving unconditional positive regard, true whole-body listening, authentic feedback, and a chance to experience insight into their own relational dynamics and patterns played out in real time.

I understand that therapy takes courage and that clients come in with very real fears and hopes. My primary goal is to establish a connected, warm, and trusting relationship with my clients, so that the hard work of change-making is met with true support, empathy, and solidarity.

I received both my Master’s in Counseling and Bachelor’s in English and Philosophy from Ohio State University. Prior to counseling, I have experience working as an intervention specialist in Cincinnati and Columbus schools.

As an LPC I practice under the supervision of Joel Ketner, MS, lMFT-S and Erin Vlach, LPCC-S.
